Removable dentures

Removable dentures, also known as removable dentures, are a method used to replace missing teeth. They are relatively simple and convenient to install, generally requiring no teeth grinding or surgery. The choice depends on individual circumstances and the doctor's discretion. They are typically made of resin or metal and are designed to mimic the shape and color of natural teeth, making them easier for patients to use in their daily lives.

Before and after partial denture installation

A partial denture is a removable denture that replaces two or more missing teeth. It's used when you're missing specific teeth in your mouth and want a single denture to fill the gaps. A partial denture fits over your other teeth for stability, but without having to remove your other healthy teeth. A partial denture has small clasps that fit tightly around adjacent teeth, keeping them in place and matching your remaining teeth. Most partial dentures have a metal base onto which the dentures are attached. Some partial dentures are smaller, more flexible, and made of acrylic. In some cases, your dentist can add dentures to your existing partial denture if additional teeth need to be removed in the future.

Movable denture production process

Step 1

Get a basic understanding of different denture options at our Hong Kong branch to develop the most suitable personalized denture plan.

Step 2

Learn about the different materials and colors available for bases and artificial teeth.

Step 3

Perform a detailed oral examination on the patient, take X-rays or 3D scans, and evaluate the alveolar bone and remaining tooth conditions.

Step 4

A dental impression is taken of the patient to accurately record the shape of the teeth and alveolar bone, which is then sent to the laboratory to create a dental model and form the basis for denture design.

Step 5

Dentures are made and trial-fitted. The doctor assesses the occlusion and gum stability and makes adjustments based on the patient's feedback.

Step 6

The dentist makes a wax prototype of the denture and has the patient try it on to test the bite. The dentist then makes repeated adjustments to ensure that the shape, size, and function of the crown meet the patient's needs.

Step 7

Produce final dentures and fit them to the patient, making final adjustments to ensure their stability and comfort.
