Tetracycline teeth are caused by the ingestion of tetracycline antibiotics during tooth development. They typically manifest as gray or yellowish pigmentation, which is aesthetically troubling for many patients. Although dental veneers are a common restoration method, they may not be able to completely conceal this color problem if not chosen properly.
The gray or yellow-brown appearance of veneers is due to changes in the tooth's internal structure, which cannot be corrected with standard whitening treatments.
